Rao’s Miami Beach offers a fabulous atmosphere, complemented by a knowledgeable waiter and good service. The dining experience started strong with terrific appetizers, including their signature meatballs and a refreshing seafood salad packed with lobster, calamari, shrimp, crabmeat, and red bell peppers, all dressed in a zesty citronette.

The main courses were a bit of a mixed experience. While the veal parmesan and lobster Fra Diavolo were fair, the peas with prosciutto stood out as excellent. The Fiocchetti—beggar’s purse ravioli filled with Bartlett pears, ricotta, brown butter, sage, and dried cranberries—offered an interesting balance of flavors but didn’t quite elevate the meal.

Desserts closed things on a high note, with the tiramisu and affogato both being very good. Overall, despite some inconsistencies in the main dishes, the welcoming atmosphere and strong highlights make Rao’s worth a return visit to explore more of the menu.

Had a fantastic lunch at the Rustic Inn in Fort Lauderdale! We sat outside with a lovely water view — the perfect casual setting to relax and enjoy the Florida vibes. Service was excellent — friendly, attentive, and quick.

We tried a variety of dishes, starting with fried alligator and fried frog legs, both crispy and flavorful. The clam chowder was rich and creamy, a great starter. The highlight was definitely the Crab Sampler, which included their World Famous Garlic Crab Clusters, Dungeness Garlic Crab Clusters, and Alaska Queen Crab Legs — all served with perfectly seasoned parsley buttered potatoes. The garlic flavor was bold and delicious without overpowering the sweet, tender crab meat.

Whether you’re in the mood for a laid-back lunch or a casual dinner by the water, this place is a winner. We’ll definitely be back!

Tiki Tiki is a casual waterfront restaurant that offers the perfect blend of breathtaking views, delicious cuisine, and top-notch service. Situated right on the water, the restaurant provides guests with a serene and picturesque setting, where they can enjoy their meals while watching boats drift by and feeling the gentle breeze. The atmosphere is laid-back yet vibrant, with tropical décor, and nautical touches that create a relaxed, island-inspired vibe.

The highlight of Tiki Tiki is its exceptional service. The staff are attentive, friendly, and genuinely care about making your experience special. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm smiles and a sense of hospitality that makes you feel right at home. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, offering insightful recommendations and ensuring that every need is met without being intrusive. It really was the perfect balance between professionalism and friendliness, making sure our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable.

The menu at Tiki Tiki features a variety of seafood dishes, tropical-inspired cocktails, and fresh, flavorful offerings that capture the essence of the waterfront location. Whether you’re enjoying a refreshing seafood platter, a creative cocktail, or a delightful dessert, the food was served with care and attention to detail.

We had an absolutely terrific meal at Tiki Tiki that was nothing short of delicious. To start, we dove into the Peel and Eat Shrimp, which were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Each shrimp was juicy and packed with flavor, and they came served in a sauce that perfectly complemented their natural sweetness.

Next, we indulged in Fresh Blue Point Oysters, which were incredibly fresh and briny with just the right amount of sea flavor. Served chilled on the half shell, these oysters were a true treat, offering that delightful combination of salty and sweet with a crisp bite.

For the main course, we had the Mahi Mahi Sandwich and Grouper Tacos—both dishes were incredible! The Mahi Mahi Sandwich featured a perfectly grilled fillet with a light, flaky texture and a touch of smokiness. It was topped with fresh greens, onions and tomatoes and a tangy sauce that elevated the flavors. The Grouper Tacos were also fantastic, with tender, flaky grouper nestled inside soft tortillas, complemented by a zesty slaw and fresh salsa. The tacos were bursting with flavor, and each bite was an explosion of freshness.

To finish off the meal on a sweet note, we couldn’t resist the Fudgy Chocolate Cake. This dessert was decadently rich and incredibly moist, with a dense, fudgy texture that melted in our mouths. The hazelnut ganache, Nutella crunchies and a scoop of vanilla ice cream made the desert that much better. It was the perfect way to cap off such a flavorful and satisfying meal.

Each dish was prepared with care and the freshness of the ingredients really stood out. The service was impeccable throughout, and it truly made the experience memorable from start to finish. Overall, Tiki Tiki offers a wonderful combination of stunning waterfront views, great food, and outstanding service, making it the ideal spot for a relaxing meal.

Dining at Lobster Bar Sea Grille is an elevated experience from start to finish. The service was impeccable—attentive without being overbearing, with a staff that made us feel both welcome and well taken care of. The drinks were expertly crafted, setting the tone for a luxurious meal ahead.

We began with a stunning lineup of starters: the Ahi Tuna Tartare was fresh and vibrant, while the Lobster Morsels—lightly fried and served with a Greek honey mustard aioli—were indulgent and perfectly crispy. The East Coast Oysters were impeccably shucked and briny, delivering that classic ocean-kissed flavor.

For entrées, the spotlight was on seafood and it didn’t disappoint. The Twin South African Cold Water Lobster Tails were sweet and tender, a true standout. The Surf & Turf paired a beautifully cooked filet mignon with a succulent lobster tail, and the Whole Maine Lobster was a showstopper in both presentation and taste.

Sides were far from an afterthought. The Glazed Brussels Sprouts with Bacon brought a rich, smoky crunch; the Baked Potato, loaded with butter and sour cream, was classic comfort done right; and the Broccolini, sautéed in garlic, olive oil, and red pepper flakes, added a welcome bite of heat.

To cap off the night, the Profiteroles—filled with vanilla bean ice cream, topped with sugar-roasted almonds, and drizzled in warm white and dark chocolate sauces—were an unforgettable finale.

A thoroughly exceptional dining experience in every way—flavors, service, and ambiance all came together for a night to remember.

Bellagamba Italian Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale is a charming, family-owned gem that brings warmth, authenticity, and a laid-back Italian dining experience to the area. Operated by two families, the restaurant radiates a welcoming, homey vibe from the moment you walk in. You’re likely to be greeted with a genuine smile by the wife of one of the owners, making you feel instantly at home.

The hospitality continues throughout the meal—our waiter was actually one of the owners himself. He was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, eager to share details about the menu and ensure we had a great experience.

What We Ordered:

  • Bruschetta Gorgonzola: Grilled artisan Italian bread with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, sea salt, and black pepper. Topped with creamy sheep’s milk Gorgonzola, sweet fig marmalade, and crunchy walnuts—this dish was a standout.
  • Duo di Polpette (Meatballs): Angus beef meatballs bathed in a rich, homemade tomato sauce and finished with Parmesan cheese. Comforting and flavorful.
  • Spaghetti Carbonara: Made the traditional way with a blend of egg yolk, Pecorino Romano, Guanciale, and a healthy hit of black pepper. Rich and indulgent.
  • Spaghetti Pomodoro & Basil: A simple, classic dish done with San Marzano tomatoes, offering that pure, tangy-sweet tomato flavor.

The atmosphere is cozy and casual, perfect for a relaxed meal with family or friends. The restaurant features a solid bar selection and was bustling during our visit, a good sign of its popularity. We chose to sit outside with a view of the street, which added to the laid-back charm.

While the appetizers were excellent and clearly crafted with care, the main courses leaned more toward average. Still, the overall experience—from the genuine hospitality to the cozy ambiance—makes Bellagamba a spot worth revisiting, especially when you’re craving a no-frills, comforting Italian meal.

The Green Pointe is a contemporary Italian restaurant located at 3585 Mystic Pointe Drive in Aventura, Florida. Overlooking a marina, it offers a chic and stylish ambiance, making it an ideal setting for romantic dates, family gatherings, and private events.

The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, featuring a menu that blends traditional Italian flavors with modern culinary innovation. Popular dishes include salmon and beef carpaccio, fresh salads, exquisite pastas, and Napoli-style pizzas. The generous portions, fresh ingredients, and friendly service, creates a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

I ate at this restaurant with three other people. We ordered appetizers, soups, and a main meals.  Each of the appetizers brought a unique flavor profile; The Margherita Pizza – A balance of simplicity and freshness, with a slightly sweet and tangy tomato sauce, creamy mozzarella, and aromatic basil on a thin, crisp yet chewy crust. The slight charring from the oven added a touch of smokiness.

The Shishito Peppers with Sweet Aioli – Mild and slightly smoky with the occasional spicy bite, the shishito peppers were blistered for a deep, roasted flavor. The sweet aioli added a creamy, slightly tangy contrast, complementing the peppers’ earthiness.

The Shrimp Skewers with Sweet Chili Sauce – Juicy, tender shrimp with a subtle briny sweetness, grilled to develop a light smokiness. The sweet chili sauce provided a balance of sweetness and gentle heat, added a slight sticky glaze that enhanced the shrimp’s natural flavor.

Overall, the appetizers had a mix of fresh, smoky, and sweet flavors with a variety of textures.

Each soup that we ordered had a rich and indulgent flavor: The Lobster Bisque – Velvety and deeply savory, with the natural sweetness of lobster infused into a creamy, buttery broth. Hints of sherry brandy added warmth and depth, while a touch of herbs enhanced the overall richness. The finish was smooth, slightly briny, and luxuriously comforting.

The Truffle Mushroom Cream Soup – Earthy and aromatic, with deep flavors of mushrooms intensified by the luxurious essence of truffle. The creamy texture enhanced the richness, while subtle garlic and herbs provided complexity. A hint of nuttiness and a slightly woodsy aroma made each spoonful indulgent and satisfying.

Both soups offered a warm, silky, and deeply flavorful experience, perfect for savoring.

The entrees ordered were  Seafood Risotto – Rich and creamy with a deep flavor from the seafood broth. The rice absorbed the briny sweetness of shrimp, scallops, and salmon, while butter and Parmesan added a luxurious texture. Fresh herbs and a touch of lemon brought brightness, balancing the richness.

Spaghetti with Octopus – A unique combination of tender, slow-cooked octopus with al dente pasta, in a tomato-based sauce. The octopus imparted a mild, slightly sweet oceanic flavor, while garlic, chili, and fresh herbs added depth and a subtle heat.

Spaghetti with Meatball – A comforting classic with juicy, well-seasoned meatballs in a rich tomato sauce. The sauce is slightly tangy and sweet, with garlic, basil, and oregano enhanced its depth. The pasta soaked up the flavors, creating a satisfying, hearty bite.

Spaghetti Carbonara – Indulgently creamy without the use of cream, featuring a silky sauce made from eggs, Pecorino Romano, and rendered bacon. The bacon a smoky, salty contrast, while freshly cracked black pepper enhanced the dish with a subtle spiciness. The result is a perfectly balanced mix of richness and saltiness.

Each entre dish offered a different take on classic Italian flavors, from seafood elegance to hearty, comforting pasta.

The service at the restaurant was excellent and highly attentive, creating a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, professional, and genuinely engaged, ensuring each one of us felt well cared for. The waitress was knowledgeable about the menu, offering thoughtful recommendations and accommodating special requests with ease. She checked in at just the right moments—refilling drinks promptly, adjusting service pace based on our needs, and ensuring every dish arrived at the perfect temperature. The attention to detail was evident, whether it’s remembering a request, swiftly clearing plates between courses, or offering a personalized touch, like a warm farewell. The team’s efficiency and friendliness created a relaxed yet refined atmosphere, making us feel valued and enhanced the overall dining experience. All of us would definitely comeback to this restaurant again.

Komodo is a vibrant, upscale restaurant offering a fusion of Asian flavors in a trendy setting. With sleek décor and both indoor and outdoor seating options, it creates an energetic and stylish dining experience. The menu features a creative blend of dishes from Thai, Japanese, Chinese, and other Asian cuisines, giving diners plenty of choices to explore.

For the most part, we really enjoyed the food. The highlights of our meal were definitely the Peking Duck, chinese ribs, and Wagyu beef dumplings. The Peking Duck was expertly prepared, with perfectly crispy skin and tender meat that was paired beautifully with pancakes and hoisin sauce. The Chinese ribs were another standout—richly glazed and incredibly tender, they were a hit with the table. The Wagyu beef dumplings were juicy and full of flavor, while the Money Bags dumplings offered a fun twist with their unique shape and tasty filling. We also loved the Spicy Bluefin Tuna Rolls, which had a perfect balance of heat and freshness.

However, there were a few exceptions. Some in our party didn’t care for the Korean Fried Chicken, feeling it lacked the expected crunch and flavor. Similarly, the Garlic Crab Lo Mein wasn’t to everyone’s taste—it had an overpowering garlic flavor that didn’t quite hit the right note for some.

One area where Komodo did fall short was in its service. The experience was marked by slow and inconsistent service, with long waits between courses and moments when the staff seemed distracted or disorganized. While the servers were friendly, the pace of the meal and attention to detail were lacking at times, which affected the overall experience.

On a sweeter note, the dessert was a huge highlight. The Chocolate Peanut Caramel Bar, which featured a Skinny Dipped peanut butter cup, crème Chantilly, and salted banana gelato, was absolutely delicious. The combination of rich chocolate, smooth peanut butter, and the indulgent gelato made for a perfect ending to the meal.

Despite the service hiccups, the food—especially the standout dishes and dessert—made for an enjoyable experience. We’d definitely consider returning, hoping for a smoother service next time.
